Gabe Newell again dropped in on the halflife2fallout.com forums to say that Half-Life 2 will preload into Steam at 6:00 PM Pacific Time (around the time this post is being written).
There have been numerous minor delays to the preload, the last official announcement on Aug 21 saying it would happen last Monday.
