A previous report of GTA San Andreas being leaked turned out to be a false alarm, but now it has been confirmed that copies of the game have hit the file sharing networks.
Gamespot.com report that Rockstar Games have issued a statement:
The proper authorities are investigating the theft and are continuing to investigate all possible leads to ensure there is no further dissemination of our creative content
The company also posted an email address in the statement for fans to report sightings of the leaked files to: piracy@rockstargames.comGTA: San Andreas will be officially released next Tuesday in the U.S., and next Friday in Europe.
