Spong.com reports that files purported to be the highly anticipated new installlment of Grand Theft Auto have hit the file sharing networks.
The files are said to be the French version of the game, which is due for release on 10 November:
File sharing sites have the game listed for download, with one version weighing in at a whopping, not to mention credible, 3.95GB currently seeing a lot of activity. If this proves to be the game, it marks a worrying turn of events for Rockstar and the industry in general.
This would be the latest in a series of leaks of top games before their official release; Halo 2 appeared on the Internet Thursday, a month before it hit the shops, and DOOM 3 was also leaked in August.Related info:
