Blizzard have announced a new record for World of Warcraft - the game has hit 1.5 million concurrent players worldwide, with over 500,000 players online in each of their three markets, Korea, the U.S. and Europe. The game has been a monstrous success since its initial U.S. launch (which in itself broke records), and it looks set to continue when it launches in China later this year - within the first hour of the beta being available there, 100,000 players had signed up.
