Spong.com report on what's been going on inside Microsoft since leaked images of the XBox 360 spread across the Internet two days ago, sending the software giant into overdrive to identify where they originated.Gathering from sources close to Microsoft that the European press was initially suspected and the second leaked image might actually have originated from within MTV itself, Spong say the leaks were almost certainly bound to happen:
Frustratingly for SPOnG, we had been expecting to run images of the new Xbox 360 console as something of a scoop, with sources on the continent poised to release assets as soon as it was safe to do so. The main reason we wanted to do this was simple: the leak was always going to happen – the assets had gone out to too many people at too many publications.
