Gamespot have a confirmation from ActiVision that an expansion pack for Rome: Total War is expected this coming Autumn, after a product page for the expansion appeared on Gamestop.com.The product page lists an estimated pre-release date for the game on 17 Oct 2005 for a price of $34.99.

GamersHell reveal the expansion will be titled Barbarian Invasion and will be set well after the time of Rome Total War:
The expansion will offer you the chance to play as one of the Barbarian factions (including the Vandals, Saxons and Huns) and take revenge against the Roman Empire, or as the Western and Eastern Roman empires attempting to drive back the Barbarians.
