The invisible line between games and movies has been smudged a little more with the announcement of Demonik by Clive Barker, a third-person horror action game for unspecified next-gen consoles, which will also be produced simultaneously as a movie. The details are sparse on what to expect from Demonik, though the announcement includes a teaser trailer and tells us that in the game "you get to play the villain, and in the movie, you will be terrified by him".
Demonik will also see involvement from director John Woo (Face Off, Mission Impossible 2), whose Tiger Hill Entertainment company will co-publish the title with Majesco.
Clive Barker on Demonik:
Demonik will be an intense gaming experience. I’m having a lot of fun enriching the game’s mythology and polishing the characters till they shine. And, of course, adding a little bit of Barker darkness. Demonik promises to be a game that you will play with clammy palms.
