A new press release from Nintendo listing the features of the Revolution contains an interesting (though vague) statement that has sparked another mini-wave of speculation:A dynamic development architecture equally accommodates both big-budget, high-profile game “masterpieces” as well as indie games conceived by individual developers equipped with only a big idea.
Boingboing take this to mean that the Revolution will run anyone's code, opening up a whole new community of homebrew coders creating games legally (a very new direction for gaming consoles) though Gizmodo note that Nintendo made no hint whatsoever that unsigned code would run on the Revolution, and they even mentioned a new DRM system at their press conference at E3.Boingboing: Nintendo promises a console that will run anyone's code?
