Some interesting news coming in from 3DGPU. The site claim that Illusion Softworks (creators of Mafia) posted a comment on their website stating that Mafia 2 for the PC is still in development despite earlier reports suggesting that the game might be shelved.
The comments state that Mafia 2 will be available on the PC and Xbox sometime in 2006-2007.
Mafia is a third person action shooter that was released on the PC in August of 2002. The game involves the story of an unlikely cab driver who turns mob and was an instant classic upon its release. Talk of a sequel was just what fans wanted to hear.
Illusion Softworks posted a comment at my site stating that Mafia 2 is not cancelled, and it will be available on the PC and Xbox sometimes in 2006-2007. Mafia, a third-person action game, didnt garner huge sales, but is considered one of the best action games to pick up.
