1up.com has a very thorough preview of Lionhead Studio's Black and White 2, in which they discuss with Peter Molyneux the fusion of classic God game and real-time strategy genres, the different creatures in the game and also aspects of good and evil touched upon in the Black & White 2, which is (According to Molyneux) scheduled to hit the shelves for PC in Autumn.
Peter Molyneux is a dreamer. This much is clear in the first five minutes spent with him. It just so happens those dreams are also the games he creates. He genuinely envisions bringing the audience every gameplay element he talks about -- no doubt many, many more, even. The good news with Black & White 2 is that it benefits from years of refinement of these dreams to help it become a cohesive overall product.
Molyneux puts it this way: "[In] Black & White 1, the idea of good and evil is a little wishy-washy. Black & White 2 is about creating or destroying. It's as simple as that." Simple conceptually maybe, but no one is going to be accusing it of being a simplistic game. We're not sure it's accurate to even call it "a" game. There are at least two here, more like three and honestly, maybe an almost infinite number.
