John Carmack revealed a couple of months ago his desire to create Doom for cellphones (he complained that there were no good games on his own phone), and now the game has been officially announced.Entitled Doom RPG, the game is due to be released at the same time as the Doom movie and will feature the same look and feel of the original game with a turn-based combat system specifically designed for playing on cellphones.
The game will be published by Jamdat for wireless phones, and the agreement also includes another wireless id Software title, though no details have been released about that as yet.
