In order to create an homage to Mario and the inspiration from his incarnation, a couple of engineers have constructed a massive Mario art display on a UCSC engineering building. The work was completed one day before National Engineers Week for people to take notice.
Well we didn't count on one thing, bean counters are not engineers. So even under the protective banner of engineering week, the most holy of weeks in the engineering calendar, the econ department ripped down every post-it® note on their floor.
