Final Fantasy XI producer Hiromichi Tanaka has revealed his development team are working on a new massively multiplayer online game for next-generation consoles.
Tanaka didn't reveal a title for the MMORPG, or whether it would be a successor to Final Fantasy XI or a new product.
On the subject of FFXI, he revealed the Xbox 360 version will be released as a beta when the console launches this year and will include graphics of similar quality to the PC version.
He also mentioned a possible Playstation 3 version, though this would depend on Sony's choice of hard drive for the console:
