Nvidia has officially announced the launching of its new graphics card, the 7800 GTX. We all remember the launch last year of Nvidia's 6800 and the lack of availability there after. Well, this time around the company is promising immediate worldwide availability of it's new gpu.
The new card supports SLI so anyone with a bottomless wallet can pick two of them up to have one badass piece of gaming machine at their disposal. Some of the PS3 demos at E3 this year were purported to be running on prototypes of the 7800 GTX.
The graphics card giant has also release new drivers to support its new gpu. You can download the 77.72 drivers for win_2k and XP here. (20.2Mb)
Technical specifications of the card can be found over on Nvidia's website.
System builders, add-in card manufacturers and retailers are said to be offering super-fast performance by leveraging the combined power of dual GeForce 7800 GTX GPUs through NVIDIA SLI.
"We have been shipping GeForce 7800 GTX GPU-based graphics boards to our retail partners for several weeks in order to assure that they will be in stock and for sale today - the day NVIDIA announced," said XFX VP Eddie Memon.
"Our customers love real product launches, and we are sure the reaction of end users will be extremely positive."
