The lead producer of World of Warcraft has laid out a "Battleplan" on the game's official forums, neatly lining up the game's huge progress since it's initial launch in the U.S. back in November and giving some details on upcoming content updates.Slightly buried in the post is a confirmation that Blizzard are working on an expansion for WoW, and that the company would release details about it "as soon as we can".
The extremely successful MMORPG has gone from one success to another since its U.S. launch; first it broke the record for North America's fastest-selling PC game, then the game steadily racked up thousands of subscribers per day, recently hitting the 2 million mark and landing it the title of second largest online game behind only Lineage.
The game also recently launched in China, and the number of subscribers is expected to rise even further.
