Atari have announced they will be licensing Pitfall and River Raid from Activision, and will be including the classic titles in the Atari Flashback 2.0 console. The Flashback 2.0 will be modeled after the Atari 2600 - right down to the wood-grain paneling and joysticks - and will also include 40 Atari titles like Centipede, Asteroids and Missile Command.
Interestingly, Atari also plan to make the console hackable, allowing users to run their own homebrew games on them. The company have also embraced the homebrew dev community further by including some of their games officially with the console.
The Flashback 2.0 is planned for release next month, with a budget price of under $30.
