1UP.com have tracked down the creator of the hoax Nintendo ON video. The video appeared on the Web before the E3 in May and was so impressive that many fans believed it was a genuine marketing video for the then unrevealed Nintendo Revolution.23 year old art student Pablo Belmonte created the video in a marathon 5 day stint that left him drained and ultimately sick in bed from the effort:
But why spend all that time to create something so elaborately fake? The answer is surprisingly simple: attention. He wanted an outlet to prove his talents to the rest of the world, and the upcoming Revolution announcement offered the perfect opportunity.
