Latest news in the next-gen console wars is that Sony will not be shipping their Playstation 3 console with a harddrive. The PS3 will sport an 80 Gig harddrive, but you will have to purchase it separately, according to Famitsu magazine. This has not come directly from Kutaragi, so take it with the usual dosage of that white stuff that makes food taste so much nicer.
But Famitsu has claimed that an 80 GB hard drive will be made available by Sony. It won't, however, come bundled with the console. This could be accurate information or just enlightened speculation, since PlayStation head honcho Ken Kutaragi recently told gamers to expect an 80 GB hard disk in an interview with a Japanese magazine.
