Spong have some intriguing details about the shrouded Nintendo Revolution controller posted up - according to credible sources, the prototype developers are currently working on looks like a GameCube WaveBird controller. Spong speculate that even devs are being kept from the big secret of the controller, because the prototypes described have no visible "revolutionary" technology in sight.
In fact, the detail given to Spong has the controller as basically "a WaveBird with a different button configuration", with no sign of a touchscreen pad or gyroscope:
I was told that it'll evidently be wireless by default and no highly rumoured special functions like gyroscopic technology or touchscreen pads were currently implemented or had even been hinted at by Nintendo. Also, "this is just a prototype, sometimes they change a lot before system launch, or sometimes, like in the case of the N64, the prototype was nearly the same as the final controller."
