Joystiq has hit upon a new rumour making the rounds, namely that SEGA are planning on a revival of After Burner for next-gen consoles. The story began after SEGA announced they were working with Secret Level to bring one of their classic franchises to the PS3 and Xbox 360.
The company didn't give the name of the franchise, but rumours that it could be After Burner started with the discovery that SEGA had applied to register the name as a trademark with the United States Patents and Trademarks Office.
SEGA haven't given any official indication of what franchise they're working on, but watch this space for more details as they become available.
