Vivendi Universal has announced a new licensing deal with Epic Games to use the Unreal 3 Engine for its next-gen games. The gaming engine is designed from the ground up with raw power in mind, running comfortably only on the next-gen consoles and PCs with the latest graphics cards and high-end specs.
The Unreal 3 Engine has already been licensed by Midway, NCsoft, BioWare and Microsoft Game Studios. Now VU will be able to harness the power of this very impressive technology for their future titles on both high-end PC and next-gen hardware.
Unreal Engine 3 technology will enable us to create exceptional high-quality next-gen titles in a productive and cost-effective fashion.
