Women to grab gaming by the pads - 4.7.05

Women are about to take to the gaming world like there's no tomorrow, according to an article on BBC News, the largely male-dominated world is set to take on more female gamers than ever before, especially in the area of massively-multi-player online gaming.

Games consultant Ernest Adams is due to address a games conference in Scotland, where he is expected to announce a new direction in gaming, particularly online games.

There needs to be a sea-change in the industry, with more female developers and more games for women

Mr Adams is to address the 2005 Women in Games Conference being held in August in Dundee, Scotland.
