Xbox 360 Euro Showcase Announced for October - 18.7.05

Microsoft have officially announced X05, the major trade and media event that will showcase the Xbox 360 in Europe.

The company promise to reveal the details of the European Xbox 360 launch at X05, and Microsoft's Chris Lewis added to the hype by saying:

We have a lot to say and even more to show people. Believe me, after X05 there will be no question that Xbox 360 is the next-generation.

The X events have been used by Microsoft to make some major Xbox announcements in the past; the pricing for the original Xbox was unveiled at the event in 2001, while the acquisition of Rare was announced at the event the following year.

The exact location of X05 is being kept firmly under-wraps for the time being, but the dates of 4th and 5th of October have been confirmed.
