Softpedia.com are reporting on a recent Spanish presentation of Microsoft's Xbox 360. What's interesting is they claim one of the slides contains the Valve logo accompanied by 'Half Life 3', hinting at a possible future release of the next iteration of Bill's green machine. We all know the hl2 expansion "Aftermath" is headed our way this fall, but just imagine if Microsoft scored a deal with Valve for Half Life 3 while the Xbox 360 is let out of the gates first. It would be a huge blow to Sony's PS3 one would have to argue. The sheer popularity of the game would be a huge moral booster for team Xbox, who of late have taken a lot of stick as a result of having no high-definition DVD disks for the launch of the next-gen console.
So far, this is the first clue which points out that Valve might be having plans for Half Life 3, especially since this fall might bring the Half Life 2: Aftermath add-on.
If Microsoft has indeed persuaded Valve to launch a Xbox 360 version of the highly acclaimed Half Life, then this might be an important victory in the battle against Sony and Play Station 3.
It’s interesting to notice that in the list where Half Life 3 shows up, there are also games which have been confirmed for Xbox 360.
