A mighty impressive batch of Unreal Tournament 2007 screenshots has been posted up on Shacknews. If you've not seen much of UT2007, these high-res screens will blow you away. Check out the detail on the armor and the vehicles...sweet.
Unreal Tournament 2007 is currently in the works by Epic Games, and a release date is still unclear. The game was announced earlier this year behind closed doors at E3. The next-gen tournament will be using the ground-breaking Unreal 3 engine and is set to be an entirely new game, not a continuation of the previous franchise.
I'm looking at a level from the next Unreal Tournament game, and it's not pretty. In a darkened conference room at Epic Games' North Carolina offices, lead designer Steve Polge, lead level designer Jim Brown, and producer Jeff Morris are walking me through a level that appears to be made of the equivalent of digital cement blocks -- and gently explaining to me why this is a good thing.
