id Software's John Carmack gave a 90 minute + keynote speech at the recent QuakeCon 2005, and now a Bit Torrent is available of the entire speech.Among other things, Carmack used the speech to give his thoughts on the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3, revealing a preference for the Xbox 360 from a developers point of view, but in general saying that the lists of specs Sony and MS are dazzling us with should be taken with a pinch of salt.
Carmack also announced that Quake 3 would be released under an open-source GPL license soon and fielded questions from the audience.
