Planetwide Games have made a surprise announcement that they are suspending the tournament that would have seen a Risk Your Life player walk away with a 1 million dollar prize.The company say they have observed a large amount of fraudulent play that has undermined the fairness of the contest.
The tournament launched on the 1st of July and was due to culminate in a live broadcast from the E3 next year, where the lucky winner would walk away as a millionaire.
However because of the activity, Planetwide say the suspension will last "until further notice":
The Company has documented unfair activity prior to making the decision to suspend the tournament. Company findings indicate that certain individuals have breached the Tournament rules and regulations and we are investigating other violations of Tournament rules. Effective immediately, the Tournament is officially suspended until further notice.
