This has to be the most lazy-ass idea for a competition I've ever seen. Over on the official Xbox website, they are urging fans to go grab a demo disk of Battlefield 2: Modern Combat for the Xbox, then go play it on Xbox Live for as long as they can starting from August 2nd until the 8th. Basically, the player who has logged the most hours of play wins the grand prize of a trip for two to a Battlefield 2: Modern Combat community event! Gee, what a crappy prize to boot, and what a crappy idea for a competition. What ever happened to winning something for merit and distinction. This competition basically praises some lazy bastard for growing his ass even bigger playing games for 6 days.(wait, maybe it's not all that bad)
You'd better hurry, because the Battlefield 2: Modern Combat' Demo Play & Win contest starts August 2, 2005. The hardy Xbox Live gamer who logs the most hours playing the game during the week of August 2 to August 8 will win the Grand Prize, a trip for two to a Battlefield 2: Modern Combat community event!
