Capcom have announced that the Playstation 2 version of the acclaimed Resident Evil 4 will hit the shelves in the U.S. on the 25th of October this year, with the European release slightly later on the 4th of November.
Eurogamer reports that the game is "surprisingly close to the GameCube original", though some compromises were made; namely the texturing in the PS2 version will be slightly less rich than its GameCube counterpart, and the facial detail will also be slightly reduced.
A wave of previews in print magazines is also expected for the last week of this month.
