Another fascinating concept come to life, in the form of Nintendo pads turned musicians. Developed by a group calling themselves 'Recyclism', they have created a gadget that transforms regular retro Nes controllers into musical instruments. The project is called 'RES' (Recycling Entertainment System), and the controllers all plug into a black box which gives a person the ability to create some awesome sounds.
You can check out four videos over in the project section of the Recyclism site.
Following on from my previous post about the work of Recyclism (Benjamin Gaulon) and my previous posts about game controllers as instruments, I introduce you to The ResĀ® (Recycling Entertainment System). 6 NES controllers, midi signals and Max/MSP allow players to jam together
