The popular MMORPG Second Life is set to get it's very own streaming video network. Developers Linden Lab are behind the endeavour that will see players creating their own "compelling program content".Linden Labs stress that Second Life TV will be used as a "Marketing Tool", but more importantly, a means for fans to broadcast their virtual lives to the outside world.
Jesse Linden explains:
By making video streaming tools accessible to the community and providing technical support, our hope is that there would be many 'Video Lindens' covering a wide variety of activities in-world. We will provide the bandwidth, domain hosting, and an affiliate bonus program.
