Microsoft have announced deals with three major manufacturers who will produce the Xbox 360. Celestica and Flextronics previously worked on the original Xbox, while a new deal with Taiwan-based Wistron has also been inked. All three plants that will produce the new console are based in Southern China. Microsoft's Todd Holmdahl commented that having three manufacturers onboard will enable the company to keep up with customer demand as the Xbox 360 gears up for a simultaneous launch in the U.S., Japan and Europe later on this year. The console will be released in other territories, including Australia and New Zealand, in 2006.
