Xbox 360 games take a price-dive? - 11.8.05

Xbox 360The Xbox 360 rumour machine just doesn't let up, and the latest news is quite promising if it turns out to be accurate. One ray of hope just appeared on the horizon, in the form of Amazon listing Xbox 360 games at a much lower price than expected. Could that fat guy be dropping down a chimney near you early this year?

We were earlier lead to believe that games for the upcoming console would debut at UKP 44.99 this coming November. Despite this, Amazon seems to be either guessing like there's no tomorrow or they know something we don't. The online-shopping giant is listing games for as low as UKP 29.99.

So far the only games listed are Call of Duty 2 - £29.99, Kameo: Elements of Power - £29.99, Perfect Dark Zero - £32.99, Quake 4 - £29.99, Tony Hawk's American Wasteland - £29.99 and GUN - £29.99.

Release dates are also mentioned for some upcoming titles like Quake 4 and Tony Hawk's for October 28th, Call of Duty 2 for November 24th and GUN set for November 11th. Of course we cannot take these dates as concrete just yet. If the prices do hold up (give or take a few bucks), next-gen gaming may be a more accessible endeavour than previously expected.
