Ok this should be fun, competitions like this usually bring out some real talent. Talent that makes most of us wonder what wrong steps we took. id Software has announced a new contest in which Quake fans are asked to design some Quake 4 art of their own that incorporates the official Quake 4 logo.
The most creative and inspiring works will be voted by the Quake community, so fans get a chance to have their say. id and Raven Software will carefully select from the top-ten artworks voted by fans, these winners will receive a signed copy of Quake 4 special DVD edition for the PC, plus an official Quake 4 t-shirt.
So all you creative types, get working on something beautiful, something that the rest of us non-artisan folk can drool over. The winners will be announced on the official Quake 4 website.
The following prizes (with corresponding estimated retail values) will be awarded at the conclusion of the competition: One Grand Prize will be awarded consisting of one QUAKE 4 T-shirt (approximate retail value $18.00), a autographed copy of the QUAKE 4 Special Edition game (approximate retail value $59.99) and an exclusive QUAKE 4 poster (approximate retail value $10.00). Prizes are not exchangeable, transferable, or redeemable for cash. In the event of unavailability of stated prizes, sponsor reserves the right to substitute a prize of comparable value. Winners must agree to abide by any restrictions in connection with the prizes.
