Rare have said in a new interview that their Xbox 360 FPS Perfect Dark Zero is to lose two features in order to be ready for the launch of the console in November. The interview will appear in the November issue of Edge magazine, and Pro-G report that the 50-player online multiplayer feature has been cut back to a still-impressive 32 players, while the dataDyne TV mode is to be dropped. The TV mode would have allowed players to watch games and upload their best matches.
Rare did say however that both features might still appear as a download through Xbox Live:
According to Rare the fifty-player online mode and the TV mode could both be added via a download over Xbox Live. Both would make excellent downloads, but we'll have to see if that ever happens. For now Rare are hard at work completing the game.
