Sony's Phil Harrison has poured criticism on the Microsoft plan of releasing two versions of the Xbox 360, saying the plan will probably just cause confusion among customers as to what system they should buy. When asked if Sony might release more than one version of the PS3, Harrison said it was "unlikely".
To make the company's plan slightly less clear however, Harrison went on to say that different variants of Playstation have been successful in the past:
"There have been various versions and variants of PlayStations in the past - some run through the hardware and some through the software, and that's worked pretty well for us, offering different value propositions to the consumer."
"Exactly what we do with the launch? Too early to tell."
