A press release has appeared on a respected PR resource website for the gaming press, offering a fairly convincing indication that Halo 3 is indeed on its way and is aimed at disrupting Sony's PS3 party.
The press release concerns the redesign and rebranding of Future plc's unofficial Xbox magazine, Xbox World, and includes a screenshot of the cover of the next issue. As you can see above, the main feature in the issue is Halo 3 and the tagline boasts that the "PS3 is dead. Welcome to the real next-gen..." alongside an image of the Master Chief.
Only a brief mention of the game is made in the accompanying press release:
On sale September 29th, issue 31 of Xbox World 360 takes a look into the future of Halo and features hands-on impressions of some of the hottest new games due to launch with the Xbox 360.
Barring any elaborate hoaxes, Joystiq speculates that Microsoft might make the long-awaited official announcement for Halo 3 shortly after the magazine hits shelves when they host the X05 event in Amsterdam on the 4th and 5th of October.Halo 3 exposed in UK magazine?
