For players of MMOGs like Star Wars Galaxies, World of Warcraft and EverQuest, half the fun is telling the tales of big battles won. Whether it’s through guild adventures or pickup battles, slaying the big dragon, taking down the boss mob or dethroning the “king,” is twice as fun when you can show others your heroic deeds through screen shots on your guild or personal web site.
Planetwide Games Inc. has released a new program that will make it even easier for players and guilds to document their deeds. The Comic Book Creator, according to IT News Online, will allow users to import their own digital photos, video game screenshots and art assets to create their own comic books or strips.
The creator costs about $19.99 and provides about 500 different layout and design templates. All creators need to do is drop and drag their shots and insert text bubbles to create whatever story they want to tell. The files can be saved as PDF or HTML for online sharing, too.
