Starting this holiday season they’ll be common fare onboard select Israeli EL AL airline flights.
According to GameShout, the airliner announced it will host a trial on 20 of its flights over the holidays to see how popular offering a little gaming action is with passengers.
The PSP trial run is part of EL AL’s push to improve its technology and flight entertainment offerings for passengers. During the trial run, Sony’s Israeli distributor will have a representative onboard the scheduled flights to offer the consoles to passengers to help them pass time during flights. Between 15 to 20 consoles will be available on each of the designated test flights.
The PSP offers a number of titles and has the ability to be networked to other PSP consoles to allow multi-player games. Titles for the console include a variety of sports games, Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories, Star Wars Battlefront II and SOCOM:Fireteam Bravo, among others.
