The Xbox 360 is still scarce in retail stores in the U.S., but according to Sean Alexander it's still possible to order one online.Despite the shortages, he has managed to order a Premium unit which will arrive before Christmas. How he did it was by using a tool that tracks which online stores have units in stock, and a nifty piece of software that monitors if the store's web page has been updated and lets you know with a notification on your computer screen.
The third ingredient he says is plain old getting up early:
Get up early, check early and often
I've noticed a trend from the east coast- many stores first update their inventory between 5 and 8 am Central time. I've seen and let go a number of high priced bundles, before getting a reasonable (MSRP) deal at Circuit City.
