A passenger at MacArthur Airport in New York sparked a mass evacuation of the terminal when his carry-on Xbox 360 was mistaken for a bomb. The Chicago-bound traveller was worried his console would be stolen, and had put it in a metal case before attempting to carry it with him to the plane.
At the x-ray security checkpoint, workers became alarmed by the console's wires and metal case, prompting the evacuation of the airport's west wing and the bomb squad to be called in:
Officers examined the case and deemed it harmless.
Airport worker Kimberley Edwards, 17, who'd been on the job for just three days, said the incident was "frightening."
"Of course I thought it was a terrorist threat,"she said.
