With a little more than a month to go, the countdown for the much-anticipated unveiling of Dungeons & Dragons Online: Stormreach has begun.
Turbine, the company developing the game, has launched its preorder package for the title that is based on the good old-fashioned paper and pencil version of the game.
Players who preorder the game will receive a free 10-day Beta pass, a bonus item that’s a +1 in-game defense amulet for combat, advanced access days before the game’s official release that will enable name reservation and world choice and a limited edition poster of a red dragon.
For DUNGEONS & DRAGONS fans, this is a great opportunity to become one of the first to play this online game and be a part of the dynamic community that D&D offers," said Jeff Burdeen, vice president for the Hasbro Properties Group.
"This preorder program was designed with the D&D community in mind," said Marc Metis, senior vice president, marketing, Atari, Inc. "By offering fans the opportunity to play the Beta version and gain early access into the completed game, we are giving them the chance to claim bragging rights of experiencing the D&D Online world - before anyone else."

The game is expected to launch in North America on Feb. 28 for the Windows XP platform. Preorder boxes can be found at EB Games, Wal-Mart, Best Buy, GameStop and more. It will retail for about $50.
