Anyone who saves the world on a repeated basis, shouldn't have extra luggage in the rear or a spare tire hanging over the front. At least that's what ISOCOR thinks.
The company unveiled its Exer-station at the CES 2006 in Las Vegas to give gamers a viable option for exercising while playing their favorite PC, PlayStation, Xbox or GameCube game. The machine works by turning the player's movement on screen to force applied to a 24-inch tall joystick.
Using a home-grown technology developed by the company called ISOCOR, the technology allows isometric muscle contractions to control computer and video games.
According to the company behind the device, recent research has indicated that the system can increase metabolic rate five times resting levels and can burn 350 calories per hour.
The controller offers 24 levels so you can build on your performance and the top level is equivalent to Olympic weight lifter hard.

The machine uses a LCD screen to clock total workout time, calories burned and more. It will cost about $200 when it's available later this year.
Who knows, thanks to the Exer-station the next gen of video game players could be as buff as their buddies who spend hours in the gym?
