Interplay Entertainment Corp., SNK PLAYMORE USA and Riverdeep Inc. will join publishers such as EA Games, SEGA and Atari on GameTap’s broadband entertainment site.

In a press release today, Turner Broadcasting Systems announced the deal to bring in the three new publishers had been finalized, bringing a greater selection of games to its subscription site.

GameTap is continually striving to provide our subscribers with new and exciting gaming content through licensing agreements with premiere publishers," said GameTap General Manager Stuart Snyder. "We are the destination for everyone interested in getting their video-gaming fill, and Interplay, SNK PLAYMORE and Riverdeep will bring a great collection of both classic and newer titles that are sure to keep our subscribers entertained. The addition of Riverdeep also adds to GameTap's library of educational games, a genre that we are looking forward to continually grow."

GameTap began late last year with about 300 titles and is continually adding on. The deal to bring the three new publishers into the family delivers another 150-plus games to the table with titles such as Battlechess, Earthworm Jim, MDK and Shock Troopers.

GameTap already boasts titles from such publishers as Activision, G-Mode, Midway, Vivendi and more. The monthly cost of playing on GameTap is $14.95.
