Gamestop has a number of PlayStation 3 titles listed on its site for preorder. Most of the 50 some games have an ETA of Oct. 1, 2006.
Does this mean that Sony’s PS3 won’t make the Spring release officials have been touting? Or, is this just a means for Gamestop to get preorders while attaching some sort of date to the purchases?
Considering the tight-lip stance at Sony over the PS3, it’s hard to call it either way. Kikizo got some pre-release details on the console in the past few days, but beyond that news has been scarce. (Click here to check out Kikizo’s PS3 story.)
On the games front, however, the Sony next-gen console is expected to have some good games with prices comparable to Microsoft’s Xbox 360.
Titles listed on Gamestop for the Oct. 1 release include Devil May Cry 4, Vision Gran Turismo, Killzone 2, Fight Night Round 3, Tekken and Condemned: Criminal Origins. Metal Gear Solid 4 has a Dec. 1 release date listed.
