Ever wish you could traverse the geography of a game like EverQuest II without looking lost or running into big baddies you’re just not bad enough to handle on your own?
Thanks to the folks over at EQ2 Interface, you can. Players of EQ II who find themselves challenged by the geography don’t have to rely on the in-game mapping system for their only clues. The EverQuest 2 Modular Atlas Project has some of the most detailed maps going that work in conjunction with the game.
The program runs over the in-game map, offering a more detailed look at current zones. It includes things such as spawn points for named mobs, locations for quest mobs, discovery update points and more. Plus it tracks group members and even works in conjunction with the waypoint function in the game.
This isn’t a new program, but since a lot of veteran players don’t seem to know of its existence, I thought it was worth putting a link out. The folks behind it are incredible. Already much of the Kingdom of Sky has been mapped out and the program just keeps getting better. The main site offers a bunch of other mods as well, including those for other MMORPGs.
