The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion is barely cold on the shelves from its recent release and already there are some pretty extensive hacks and cheats out.
Game Spy has pages dedicated to the new RPG that’s available for the Xbox 360 and PC. In fact, it seems new cheats and mods are coming in all the time.
The single-player RPG, backed by Bethesda Softworks and 2K Games, is a hit among RPGers. In fact, some of my EQII buddies have taken a “break” to check it out. They’re saying the allure is so strong they can barely pull themselves away.
According to one of its pre-release media pieces, "Oblivion will set the new standard for next generation gaming and change the way role-playing games are viewed forever," said Vlatko Andonov, President of Bethesda Softworks. "We set very high goals and ensure they are reached because that is what our fans deserve and have come to expect from Bethesda Softworks. We are very proud of our team's accomplishments with respect to Oblivion."
If player love can be measured by the number of cheats and mods available, then it would seem the game’s well on its way to meeting Andonov’s expectations.
