As the countdown clock on the Rainbow Six web site ticks its final hours, the folks over at 1Up are saying they know what’s behind the mystery. Evidentially, the first next-gen title in the Rainbow Six series will be entitled Rainbow Six: Vegas.
Not too long ago, the Rainbow Six site drew a lot of attention when a prominently displayed countdown clock was placed on its homepage. The clock counts down hours, minutes and seconds until a “big announcement.” (And as if this writing, a bit more than 11 were left on it.)
Reports say the clock started at 360 hours. Speculation is the clock will mark the announcement of an Xbox 360 release of Rainbow Six or maybe a PlayStation 3 title. Maybe both? The clock runs out on March 6.
Although 1UP has the title for the game, the site’s report isn’t clear which next-gen console the game will be for, so some mystery remains as time runs out on the countdown.
