Best Buy is touting the opening of its official Nintendo DS Download Station in stores throughout America and Canada.
The download station allows gamers with the little Wi-Fi powerhouses to go into a Best Buy, head to the station and download game demos and trailers for upcoming games.
According to Nintendo’s site, the download stations are available in America and Canada and currently offer such demos as Mario Kart DS, Tetris DS, True Swing Golf and a trailer for Metroid Prime Hunters. The demos and trailers are expected to change every few months.
Gamers who download the trials can keep them as long as the DS stays on. Evidentially they go away after it’s powered off.
This sounds like a pretty neat idea, but I personally think they should allow the demos to stay put a little longer on a handheld console. Half the fun of having a new demo or trailer is sharing it with other gamers. If the batteries go or the console’s accidentally shut off, that will be out with the new DS set up.
All in all, pretty neat idea though. Check out Best Buys information by clicking here.
