If unnamed sources are to be trusted, it seems the highly anticipated release of Halo 3 or some facsimile thereof won’t be out until March 2007. The rumors come from an anonymous Microsoft source and another person close to the company.
Whether these rumors are accurate or not remains to be seen, but one thing for certain is that this is one of the most highly anticipated releases coming up. Other rumors surrounding the title include one that says Halo 3 won’t be a follow-up at all, but a prequel or something to that effect instead.
Hopes are Microsoft and Bungie will reveal solid information about the title and its impending release during May’s E3.
After all, gamers can’t seem to get enough of the Master Chief. The franchise is so hot, in fact, there’s a movie coming up and a graphic novel to boot.
In my house “Halo” is almost a sacred word. Every Wednesday night my husband and his old high school chums get together for what’s been dubbed as Halo Night, or Geek Night in some circles. Either way, this is a tradition that’s gone on since the first title came out and it won’t slow down with the third.
